Dealer
The casino employee in charge of dealing the cards to players in games such as blackjack and baccarat. Also known as Croupier (French for dealer).
Deuce
A card with the value of two
Dice (Craps and Sic Bo)
Small cubes with the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 on the sides. Used in games such as craps and Sic Bo.
Die
Singular for dice, a cube with numbers 1 to 6 on each side.
Discard Rack (Card Games)
The container / area on the table where cards that have already been used are stored between the times the cards are shuffled.
Double Down (Blackjack)
A betting option on the blackjack table where you place double your bet and get one more card often played with hand totals of 11.
Double Up (Machine Games)
A feature on slots and video poker machines where you can double your wins by guessing the outcome of red or black or by picking a higher card.
Double Up (Poker)
The event of winning an all in bet at the poker table. A player "doubles up" as their chip stack is doubled if they win.
Draw (Poker Games)
Refers to games such as video poker. The draw is the second round of cards that you receive after you have decided which of your original cards to hold.
Drop Box (Table Games)
The area underneath the gaming table where any money is stored. When you buy chips you cash is put in the drop box for later collection by the casino
