To gamble or bet money on any event occurring or not occurring.

Wild Card (Video Poker)
A joker or any other card that is deemed wild. Substitutes for all other cards. Examples include Joker Poker and Deuces Wild where two's are wild.

Whale
The name for a player who gives a lot of action to the casino. Typically whales get preferential treatment from casinos such as private jets and special suites.
